The members of our Political Committee is focused on researching, preparing and distributing information on all issues of public policy. In a non-partisan manor, this committee provides factual information as related to specific pieces of legislation affecting our community.
Safety, Environmental and Technological (SET)
The SET committee is focused on environmental, health and safety issues. Constantly reviewing laws and regulations related to these issues as well as evaluating ways to address them.
The Public Relations Committee is responsible for coordinating and informing the public and media outlets about upcoming events, news and activity. In addition, this committee is focused on the creation of materials and campaigns with the ultimate purpose of increasing awareness and encouraging individuals to take an active role in matters affecting our community.
The Legal Action committee is focused on investigating and reviewing issues of concern to community residents. Staying current on legislation under consideration by Federal, State, County, and Local governments, and if needed, ask members to contact their legislative leaders. And engage with legal representation to ensure all activity is within legalities.
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for leading and identifying outreach opportunities, and oversees the development and implementation of fundraising efforts to support the SHCA activities. Including monitoring all of the SHCA’s efforts to ensure ethical practices and transparent reporting are in place for any funds raised.
